About Tablii
Built from real front‑of‑house experience, driven by a vision to transform table booking for independent hospitality.
The founder
Alison Statham
Alison worked front‑of‑house in independent venues and experienced firsthand the pressure of table planning, walk‑ins, and the limitations of paper diaries, spreadsheets and memory.
Her experience creating seating plans and seeing the gaps in existing tools inspired the core idea behind Tablii: a calm, explainable and overridable system that understands real hospitality behaviour.
Alison’s vision is to build a product that transforms table booking for independent hospitality and has the potential to become a global market leader, while remaining beautiful, friendly, reliable and grounded in operational reality.
Mission & principles
Real‑world logic
Design for actual hospitality behaviour, exceptions and pressure, not hypothetical feature checklists.
Calm design
Visual clarity should reduce cognitive load, especially during busy service.
Explainable assistance
Recommendations must show why they were made, so staff can trust or override them intelligently.
Human control
Staff can override suggestions without fighting the system.
Independent‑friendly commercial model
Pricing should be transparent and avoid commissions on covers.
Focused growth
New features require evidence and must not weaken the core workflow.
Early validation
A trusted independent venue has agreed to support early product validation. Participants will only be identified publicly with their permission.
Five‑year vision
Potential later development includes:
Public online booking
Guest‑facing booking interface, once the staff workflow is proven.
Guest preferences & reminders
Capture and respect guest likes, dislikes, anniversaries, allergies.
POS integrations
Seamless connection with popular point‑of‑sale systems.
Waitlists & walk‑in management
Better tools for handling unpredictable demand.
Analytics & reporting
Insights that help venues optimise table usage and revenue.
Multi‑venue & international
Support for groups and expansion into Australia, Europe, North America.
Important: These are directions, not commitments. Each will require validation and must not weaken the core product.
